On this bed by you I get one of the rare privileges. As I sit watching I can only imagine how peaceful it must be for you. Laying down your head as you pack the troubles of the day for later, closing your eyes to the pictures of the day that never seem clear, taking in some air of peace and letting out unwanted thoughts as though you want to show how long you’ve been sleeping.
Like the look on a newly born baby’s faces so did you look. Your face locked with a smile that shone bright enough to signal peace and drive away agents of disturbances for they cannot stand the shine of that smile.
Your head gently placed on your hands was enough to tell the strength you were transferring from your dreams into those hands. You will be ready to face the world when you open your eyes to say enough with the sleep.
Your legs were not allowed enough freedom as you would have wished because sitting at the end of the bed was a long obstruction in the form of myself, so they had to do with the rest of the little space but they did not complain, they accepted the little space and left themselves there one on top of the other.
What more could they have wished for? At least there was enough space for them to be for some time without having to do the quick or slow march to the demands of the many life’s marching songs.
The legs really needed this. Wish I could say something about your hair apart from the fact that it had bowed and almost completely lying on the scalp as a sign of respect to the power of sleep.
There is nothing more rewarding than earning from doing something you enjoy. It’s almost like earning from doing nothing. It’s being with you that I enjoy most and it’s the happiness from being with you that am earning as I sit and watch you sleep your troubles away.
You couldn’t have seen the smiles on my face and I couldn’t find anywhere to hide them than this way but I sure saved some for when you wake up because I will be smiling when you wake up to say to you WELCOME!
