The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Cor. 14:13 KJV).

One of God’s ‘big’ words in His Kingdom is ‘Grace’. Grace is God’s Love – Gift to men.

It is the revelation of everything Christ did for us and on our behalf during His earth walk, on the cross and in hell, and much more, the divine strength with which we can experience what Christ has done in all reality. It is true that we did not do anything ourselves to merit this Grace God gives. Yet Grace is much more than favour. There is a strength side of grace which ‘makes us do’ the word of God’s grace. I pray this divine influence becomes released in our lives as we fellowship more with the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Our opening verse contains three main elements, which are so interconnected. The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, proceeds from the Love of God. In John 3:16, we read that God so loved the word that He gave His only begotten Son, who is Jesus. That is to say the coming of Jesus to this world stems from the Father’s Love. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is seen in all that He lived and died for. He healed and forgave sinners, and fed the poor not because of anything they did, but their faith in Him as God’s grace revealed. Then on the cross and in hell, he took the place of the sinful nature of everyone who came and would ever come into this world. He became sin for us, that we would become God’s righteousness in Him. He became poor for us that we might become rich in Him. He became sick and was striped for us that we might be healed and live in good health! Glory Halleluiah! That means that we can now live everyday, a life full of the grace blessings Jesus gave to us. Amen!

Now the last element of our opening verse – “the communion of the Holy Ghost” is actually the foundation for the other two elements. In the Gospel of John, Jesus revealed the Holy Ghost as The Spirit of Truth; that should tell you about the primary role of the Holy Spirit in our lives (John 14:16,17, 26). He is the one who reveals to us the Truth about God’s grace, so we can experience the blessings of grace in our lives. You should now understand why Paul said in 1 Cor. 2:12 -“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God”! Oh Halleuiah!

Friend, God loves us so much, and He wants us to experience all that is in the Grace of His Son Jesus Christ. And that is made possible when we have our vital fellowship with the Holy Spirit, the one who teaches us to know all that has been freely given to us in Christ! I see God’s grace working in your life, because you are going to have a vital fellowship with the Holy Spirit from today! God bless you.
