Like any other ‘pressure group’ in any university in Ghana, most students abhor their practice.
With scaring names such as Trojans, Spartans, Vandals etc. and in the case of the Ajumako Hall of the University of Education, Winneba-Ajumako Campus; VULTURES! No parent will ever advice the child to join the group.
Yet the members of the group revel the group so much and will want to be associated with the group rather than the school they attended.
H.E President Mahama will prefer to be referred to as “Old Vandal” than “alumni of UG”.
But like them or hate them, their activities illuminate passion on campus and make the schools lively.
When it was announced that “THE LEGENDS” will “charge” on 17th and 18th September to welcome fresh students, the million cedi question was “but where are the Vultures?”
The LEGENDS gave a thrilling performance in both days, the charging was MASSIVE and for the first time in many years, the NUGS President, the SRC President and other SRC executives joined the “JAMA”.
Little did we know that the hitherto VULTURES is what has metamorphosed into THE LEGENDS.
So there is no more VULTURES flying around the Ajumako Campus again.
All the Vultures are now LEGENDS and their response is now CONQUERORS.
Thanks to the new Chief Legend Innocent Stephen Boateng for that fantastic innovation.
