My Vision – KNUST CASS-SC President

The College of arts and social science is the largest college in KNUST. As a student-council we are responsible for effectively advocating for better conditions of learning for the students in our college.
So far, we have made giant strides in this direction.

• Currently, we are spear-heading the CCB expansion PROJECT which can help solve the problem of congestion for lectures.
• Talks are being held with the Provost to curb the challenges being faced by students at the old laundry.
• As a college, we are championing for a smooth transition of students in the faculty of art into the new site.
• We are also advocating for a dedicated transport to the business school. We face several problems, but we have a strong believe that the interest of the students should be superior.
• We are collaborating with the SRC on the flat rate policy to be introduced because we believe that it is a way to curb hikes in the dues of various students’ associations and shall ensure transparency in governance.
• We are currently working on the long vacation attachments with government and private agencies. We are expanding the college welfare fund to comprehensive welfare package with different dimensions which would be communicated later.
• We are working tirelessly on the theoretical driving school project as a VC course and it has already gotten support from various well-meaning organizations and we strongly believe is going to see meet the light of the day.

All these things and many more are what we shall strive to achieve as a student-body.This are not just campaign promises, these are things that shall be accomplished by the grace of God.
