Five Nigerian students of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) who allegedly murdered one of their compatriots on the campus have been arrested by the police.

The suspects, who were friends of Godwin Chukwudi Ayogu, a 19-year-old Level 200 student of the UCC, vanished from the campus soon after the discovery of Ayogu’s body on the outskirts of the university.

Some students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, (KNUST) in Kumasi, have been robbed of their belongings with one student injured by a gang of robbers at the Adjoa Akyiaa Hostel at Bomso over the Easter Holidays.

The University of Cape Coast School of Biological Sciences will from next academic year introduce a programme in Bachelor of Science in Biomedical and Forensic Sciences Education at the Department of Biomedical and Forensic Sciences.

Dr Johnson Nyarko Boampong, the Head of Department of Biomedical and Forensic Science, announced this in an interview with the GNA at Cape Coast after a public lecture on the Importance of Forensic Science Education in the Contemporary world.
