The Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana (POTAG) has called off a three-week-old strike after an emergency congress on Friday.
The strike led to the closure of the Kumasi Polytechnic after three weeks of inactivity on campus.
POTAG members were demanding to be paid the revised salaries under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) – a new pay policy for public service workers.
The strike took a toll on students on various campuses.
Based on the resolution from the congress, POTAG members are expected to return to the lecture halls from Monday.
