Salary negotiations between members of the Ghana Association of University Administrators and the National Labour Commission broke down a while ago.
The Labour Commission called the two groups including vice chancellors from the various universities to iron out nagging problems regarding their migration onto the single spine salary structure.
National Vice President of the association Francis Tei told Joy News the fair wages commission has not been fair to them.
“We went and their posture did not make us go ahead so we are going back to our various campuses.
They are demanding that we stop the strike before they could talk to us but we don’t think we will stop it now.
“Fair Wages has been so unfair to us,” he said adding non-teaching staff in the university are yet to be migrated onto the SSSS.
