The bond of friendship and alliance between Kumasi High School and Kumasi Girls SHS (K-Gee) was the toast of many fans at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at the ongoing Ashanti Regional Inter-schools Athletics Competition. The Mmrantee were paired at the same spot at the stadium with their Ahemaa and their conduct, affection and alliance was the envy of all the schools as the guys sang the praises of their girls who also beautifully responded to the praise singing in an exciting show of pure romance, strong bond and alliance.
Any great performance from Kumasi Girls athlete was appreciated with loads of yoghurt from High School and vice versa. Occasionally High School showers yoghurt on the cheering students of Kumasi Girls to the admiration of all. Their conduct was simply praiseworthy and deserves commendation for the strong bond of affection, alliance and admiration devoid of any name-calling or provocation.
The combined support from these schools motivated their schools to perform beyond expectation. No wonder K-Gee won the girls division and High School placed third in the boys division.
