MTN Ghana Foundation acting together with the Ashcell Limited, the main distributor of MTN products in the Ashanti Region, has presented gifts totaling GH¢ 2,800 to the Kumasi Girls’ Senior High School (SHS). These were made up of a desktop computer and accessories, exercise books, souvenirs and a cheque for GH¢ 1,000.
This is in support of the celebration of the school’s 50th anniversary, the climax of which has been fixed for March 2.
Mrs Charity Darko, Community Relations Advisor of the Foundation, said this was part of their corporate social responsibility.
Mr Kennedy Abu Gyekye, a tutor on the anniversary planning committee, received the gifts and said they were grateful.
Activities lined up for the anniversary include clean-up exercise, a homecoming summit of past students and inauguration of projects the Parent/Teacher Association funded.
