Opoku Ware School (The School / OWASS) has been crowned champions of Zone One at the climax of the zonal stages of the Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges Athletics Competition at the Baba Yara Stadium.
myJCR.com team observed a keen competition between athletes from OWASS and Jachie-Pramso in the various categories but OWASS came first in the boys division on Friday, February 20, 2015 with 161.5 points followed by Jachie-Pramso (139.5 points), and Konongo Odumasi (81.5 points) in the second and third positions respectively.
Below is the list of schools that qualified for the Super-Zonals scheduled for February 26-27 in Zone One (Boys division.
1st – Opoku Ware School – 161.5 points
2nd – Jachie-Pramso – 139.5 points
3rd – Konongo Odumasi – 81.5 points
4th – Kenyase S.D.A. – 64 points
5th – Collins – 39 points
6th – Barekese – 36 points
In the girls division, Konongo Odumase came first with 167 points. Below is the list of schools that qualified for Super-Zonals in Zone One.
1st – Konongo Odumase – 167 points
2nd – Jachie-Pramso – 136 points
3rd – St. Louis – 104 points
4th – Adventist Girls – 79.5 points
5th – Kings College – 43 points
6th – Dadease – 37 points.
