22-year-old KNUST student wins NPP parliamentary primary

A 22-year-old Law student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Francisca Oteng-Mensah, has won the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary in the Kwabre East Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

Ms Oteng-Mensah beat the incumbent MP for the constituency, Hon. Kofi Frimpong.

She is a second year student and said to be the daughter of Dr Kwaku Oteng, CEO of Angel Group of Companies. 

The results

Francisca Oteng-Mensah – 321 votes
Lawyer Osei-Poku – 202 votes
Hon. Kofi Frimpong – 187 votes
K. Adjei – Sefa – 33 votes
