A general office at the Ceramics Section of the Department of Industrial Arts (Faculty of Arts) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi caught fire early this morning (Friday, April 19, 2013). The cause of the fire is yet to be released.
myJCR KNUST Team confirmed this report. Fire fire fighters from the Ghana Fire Service were at the scene combating the fire at the time of filing this report.
According to an eye witness, Cynthi Abgevor, a student resident of Hall 7 (a hostel close to the scene), the fire started at about 7 am this morning thus they called the Ghana Fire Service. The fire had burnt the office almost completely although the fighters arrive on time.
