The much-anticipated day has arrived. The beginning of the first week of an experience of being a fresher has been at the back of the minds of the newly admitted fresh faces on Kwame Nkrumah University Science Technology (KNUST) campus irrespective of the four-year long academic pressures they will face.
Being a fresher for many is an excuse for those that are leaving home for the first time and are able to take off the shackles to undertake a hedonistic lifestyle that they were not used to when they were at home leaving with the rest of their family, whereas others have different perspectives about the university as rightfully said by Emma, a fresher at the Unity Hall,
“although the university is all about fun, hanging out and stuff, but I believe we are all here for a reason and I’m here purposely to excel academically, fun later.”
myJCR newsroom decided to capture every moment on campus, interview students and crack some rips by taking some of the funny moments we encountered, their expectations, how excited they were when they finally had admission into the school, what they expect from their first lecture and a lot more. Join myJCR train as we begin our journey from tech junctions where it all starts to their rooms.
The entire myJCR crew wishes to extend a hand of congratulations to our newly admitted students on campus. We wish you a successful stay on campus. Do have fun but remember thy books.
