GCB donates one million Ghana cedis to KNUST

Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB Bank Limited) has made a cash donation of one million Ghana cedis (GH¢1,000,000.00) to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Samuel Sarpong, Chief Transformation Officer of GCB Bank Ltd. with his team presented the cheque.

Mr. Samuel Sarpong stated that the donation was in aid of a Students’ Complex project, at the College of Architecture and Planning. This project when completed would contain lecture rooms for students and offices for staff.

Mr. Sarpong further stated that discussions concerning this project had gone on for a long time and he was glad GCB Bank Limited had finally delivered on its promise. He added that support for the project was their quota for the development of a sound   infrastructure for KNUST. He commended the management of the University for the physical development of the institution.

Professor William Otoo Ellis, Vice-Chancellor, was grateful for the donation. On behalf of the University, he thanked Mr. Sarpong and his team for the donation. Prof. Ellis continued that the University had on record the great cooperation between GCB Bank Ltd. and KNUST. He looked forward to doing a lot of business with the bank.
