The official website of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been hacked by a group calling itself “Moroccan MajahiDeen Team”.
The attack of the www.knust.edu.gh address of the university happened around 7:00pm on Tuesday.
The group initially displayed the image below:
But after the university restored the site around 7:30pm, the site was hacked again almost immediately and as at 9:30pm, the hackers displayed “hello ghana we are moroccan mujahideen team Withdraw your recognition of front polisario fb : https://www.facebook.com/MoroccanMujahiDeen/” on the university’s website.
myJCR.com has been reliably informed that the IT team of the university is currently working to restore the website.
UPDATE: 24th November, 2015 at 10:02pm – The website has been restored by the IT team of the university.
