myJCR congratulates and celebrates the first female Speaker of the Students’ Parliament of KNUST, Rt Hon. Dorcas Osei-Boateng.
Madam Speaker was the only female presidential aspirant in the just ended 2013 KNUST SRC Elections. She won the 5th position with 606 valid votes. The winner, Caleb Fugah, had 2,556 valid votes. Seth Mensah Bonsu occupied the last (7th) position with 360 valid votes.
Dorcas is a member of the National Union of Presbyterian Students, Ghana (NUPS-G) and an old student of Notre Dame Girls Senior High School (NODASS), Sunyani.
