KNUST-CASS trains over 80 students on the use SPSS

Over eighty students of KNUST have been trained on the use of the Statistical Programme for Social Sciences, popularly known as SPSS.
The initiative is powered by the 2013 student leadership of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, KNUST.

In recent times, student especially final years have had to go through a hard time presenting a proper and standard research work.

Some go the extent of paying other students and sometimes teaching assistants to help them with both thesis research and project works.

The move is part of ways to address the perennial problem students’ especially final years face working on final presentations.

The programme drew many students from all the five departments of the College Arts and Social Science. Participants of the programme will receive certificates of participation.

President of the College, Salim Ahmed Nuhu is positive the programme will relief students of the stress they go through en route to completing school.

In an interview on LEADERSHIP CORNER of Focus FM, he said the data analysis software will facilitate the work of students in their project works.
