Members of the Rotaract Club of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have improved road safety on campus by re-painting faded zebra crossings.
The initial painting was done at the main entrance of the University at 4am on Founday’s Day (September 21, 2013). myJCR KNUST spotted members of the Club again yesterday (October 19, 2013) painting the Mecca Road and the Conti Roundabout. This activity forms part of the Club’s project for the semester.
Rotaract is an international organization of service clubs for men and women aged 18-30 that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes international understanding and peace.
Rotaract is also a program of Rotary International, and take the name from a combination of the words Rotary and Action. Rotaract Clubs are sponsored by Rotary Clubs.
