The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has planned to draft a 5-year development plan captioned “Umbono 2020”.
According to the SRC PRO, Patrick Dapaa Kwao, the plan is intended to guide the SRC towards the execution of specific, measurable, attainable, and time bound policies to affect positively the life of the every day student of the university. The KNUST SRC Will be the first in Africa when it has completed the draft of a five year development plan which is captioned “UMBONO 2020”.
He indicated that there shall be a committee which will sample the views of students in order to help them make recommendations to address directly, the needs of students. “Suggestions and opinions are welcome from all students, lecturers,alumni and university staff. The SRC of KNUST continues to deliver on its mantra, as it sets itself apart on the global stage” the SRC PRO indicated.
