Duke Sasu Aaron has now been officially sworn in as the Students Representative Council (SRC) President of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for the 2014/2015 Academic Year after a protracted electoral dispute.

Some students, especially residents of Unity Hall (Conti) and University Hall (Katanga), accused the KNUST Dean of Students, Dr. Kofi Ohene Owusu-Daaku, of interfering with the electoral process. A petition that was filed was later thrown out of court though the Judicial Committee had earlier declared the results of the 2014 SRC Elections as null and void.

Duke takes over from Caleb Fugah as the new leader of students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
