INTELLECTO is the shortened form for Intellectual Choral and Drama Festival. This is an annual national program which involves the various mass choir and mass drama of most universities in Ghana. It is traditionally hosted in turns by University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

The other participating universities are Valley View University, University of Development Studies, University of Mines and Technology, Pentecost University College, Methodist University College of Ghana, Central University College and University of Education.

Almost two decades ago, the great vision of INTELLECTO was finally birth. As at the time, this vision primarily entailed fostering inter-tertiary unity amongst all universities in Ghana and harnessing this unique nationwide oneness in one night of captivating dramatic experience and another night of grand musical celebration.

Over the years the aims and achievements of this grand festival have both evolved from unity alone to rather very lasting social impacts on the surrounding communities of the hosting schools. Serving this purpose, a number of achievements have by far been successfully reached.

Intellecto 2014 will be held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology from Thursday, March 6 to Sunday, March 9. myJCR.com will bring you relevant updates of the event…just Stay Connected!
