An ICT group – mNotify – a group of youth entrepreneurs from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been honoured in Kigali, Rwanda.
The group which was recognised for the establishment of Tech Hub with Vodafone was one of the groups rewarded during the Transform Africa Summit, a programme organised to develop socially transforming IT solutions in Africa. mNotify Ltd emerged as the best customer service innovation company and took away a sum of two thousand US dollars (US$2000).
At the awards ceremony, the Rwandan President, His Excellency Mr Paul Kagame reminded the youth of the need to work hard to achieve their dreams. He added that true success required a lot of hard work and dedication. Therefore, they had to try new approaches to become successful in the long run.
The Transform Africa 2013 Summit, which sought to push for a major ICT revolution across the continent, attracted over 1,500 delegates, and was graced by seven Heads of State from Burkina Faso, Gabon, Kenya, Mali, South Sudan, Uganda and Rwanda.
