Gone are the days when students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) had to join long queues just to register for the semester. Students had to endure the frustration and stress to avoid late registration with fine.

The story in this academic year’s registration seems to be very different as students are rather congratulating the Students Representative Council (SRC) for ensuring a stress-free and smooth registration for the 2013/2014 Academic Year.

According to a myJCR KNUST reporter, Joan Nelson, who observed the registration process at the Faculty of Arts, the process has been very smooth and far better compared to the previous years.

Many of the students who spoke to her expressed their profound gratitude to Caleb Fugah (KNUST SRC President) and the entire SRC executives for ensuring a smooth registration process.

The registration process is as follows:

1. Pay the School Fees at any branch of United Bank of Africa (UBA), Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Ecobank Ghana Limited (Ecobank), Standard Charted Bank (StanChart), or Home Finance Company Bank (HFC) nationwide.
2. Pay College Dues at any nationwide branch of the bank selected by your College.
3. Present photocopies of the two (2) pay-in slips to your Faculty’s Accounts Office for quick clearance.
4. Proceed to do Biometric Registration at any of the centres on campus.
5. Complete the registration online by registering for subjects to be studied during the 2013/2014 Academic Year.

The registration process which started on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 is expected to be continued next week.
