Project works and theses of final year students which seldom see the light of day in the university circles could be receiving a breath of life from now onwards.
These works by final year student who sometimes had to commission senior course-mates and other astute persons to assist in the bid to produce an in-depth work only have the cobwebs of shelves and libraries to boast.
This could become a thing of the past because leadership of the Trade and Technology Fair, TRATECH, of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has plans to put life into project and thesis works.
The annual fair organized by the Student Representative Council (SRC) is celebrating 10 years.
As part of the anniversary celebration, leadership of the fair has decided to bring industry players and business experts on campus to train and teach students on how to transform project works into small and medium businesses.
This is to help curtail the annual enrolment of graduates into the world of unemployment.
A situation which has become a course of worry and therefore been debated at every sphere of academic and political engagement.
The six-day programme is also expected to draw student leaders and aspiring student politicians to debate on the theme of this year’s programme.
The theme for the celebration is “Green Solution through Innovation Driven Development”.
Chairman of this year’s fair, Andrew Appiagyei explains the choice of the theme was geared to protecting and preserving the environment which the commission believes is important to promoting a sustainable and renewable energy of the nation.
The annual event which always promulgates ingenuity and creativity from the university community might this year fall short of some creativity from members of the Art Society.
This has become possible because leadership and members of the art society will be absent because of what officials say is as a result of lack of communication from both ends.
