As part of preparations towards its Golden Jubilee Celebration, the University Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology invited Lieutenant Colonel Dwayne Stanton, an Army Attaché from the Embassy of the United States of America, to inspect their Cadet Corps.

Lt. Col Stanton in his address to the cadets encouraged them to continue to serve with dedication. He said they were the future leaders of Ghana and as such they should be disciplined, have love for their institution and above all uphold their integrity. He urged them to respect each other and the University as a whole. He was excited about the Golden Jubilee Celebration and was ready to offer any support that was needed to make the event a success.

Lt. Col. Stanton gave an award to the most dedicated member of the cadet team, Robert Barnes Koomson, a third year Mechanical Engineering student and the second in Command of the Cadet Corps. This was to motivate the cadets. He also urged the members to work hard towards the Golden Jubilee Celebration.

The Hall Master of the University Hall, Dr. S.C. Fialor, thanked Lt. Col. Stanton for the visit and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the effort of the cadets towards the celebration.
