GIS training programme underway on Legon campus

The Department of Geography and Resource Development of the University of Ghana has started a special training programme in Geographic Information System or GIS. Dr. Alex Barimah, a lecturer at the Department and Administrator of Remote Sensing and the GIS laboratory tells Univers News the training programme will help equip students and the general public on the science and technological approach in collecting, analysing, storing and utilisation of Geo Special Information on the earth surface.
Dr. Barima recommended students and workers in the security agencies, banks, energy sector and corporate services take part in the programme.
The training ends on Friday, January 25, 2013.
