An anomaly in registration for accommodation has left some fresh students of the University of Ghana in a fix.

Univers News understands a mistake in labeling rooms online has resulted in some fresh students choosing kitchens and box rooms and even washrooms as their place of residence.

Some halls affected by this are the Legon and Commonwealth Halls and you can imagine the disappointment and frustration on the faces of these fresh students upon entering their supposed rooms.

Stephen Yeboah, JCR President of the Legon Hall, one of the halls affected by this expressed concern about the current situation when he spoke to Univers News.

Meanwhile, the Senior Tutor of the Commonwealth Hall has told Univers News the online registration process for accommodation for fresh students was rushed.

According to Dr Thomas Aquinas Adjadeh, the University’s Internet Capacity doesn’t make registration faster and this puts the students at risk of not registering early enough.

He urged fellow senior tutors to cross-check the registration of the students manually to avoid any difficulties.

Dr Adjadeh also advised the newly admitted students to channel all their grievances through the right places, citing the tutorial offices as the best place to seek help, should they encounter any difficulties.
