The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the University Ghana has donated 50 study chairs to the University of Ghana Medical School, Korle-Bu to be used in their reading rooms.
The donation comes after the SRC President paid a visit to the medical school last semester, where he interacted with the medical students and was appalled by the state of their hostel facilities, especially the reading rooms. He was accompanied by the Speaker of the General Assembly, Mr Rich Kofi Kofituo to make the donation.
The University Of Ghana Medical Students Association (UGMSA) expressed appreciation to the SRC President for the gesture and promised to put the Reading room chairs to good use.
The SRC President on his part commended them for their relentless efforts in improving the conditions of their students. The UGMSA Executives have also started some renovation works in the reading rooms.
