The Student Representative Council of the University of Ghana will come Friday April 26 hold its annual ‘Excellence awards’.
This awards ceremony will the third since its maiden edition in April 2011.
It will be held under the theme “Unveiling Holistic Excellence & Its Impact on National Development”. The ceremony seeks to award alumni and current students or groups of the University who have contributed greatly to the development of the school in diverse ways.
Students’ awards (Golden nuggets), Nation figures and senior members’ awards (Platinum vessels) and Special awards (Rare gems) are the broad categories under which various awards would be given.
To grace the occasion with their presence include:
Professor Ernest Aryeetey (Vice Chancellor, UG), Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah (Minister of Youth and Sports), Hon. Seidu Daannaa (Minister of Culture and Traditional affairs),Mr. Rowland Agambire (Agaams Group), Kojo Oppong Nkrumah (Joy FM), Shamima Muslim (Citi FM) and a host of other distinguished personalities.
The venue for this august ceremony is the Great Hall and it comes of at 6:00pm.
Attendance is free and open to all.
