Professor Ernest Aryeetey, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, revealed in a radio interview with Radio Univers that payment of fees in installments would not be repeated in the next academic year.
According to him, students’ needs would be met on an individual basis. Professor Aryeetey described as false, the claims that he said university education was not for the poor.
He explained that he rather said university education was expensive and that was taken out of context. In other issues he said he would persuade government to designate the University of Ghana as a research university.
