The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ernest Aryeetey says the new grading system introduced is to protect the integrity of the institution.
Replying a petition presented his office by a group of students against the system, Professor Aryeetey explained the new system is to give meaning and recognition to degrees awarded by the University.
Meanwhile, Univers News has been speaking to Michael Adjei Darkwah who is spearheading the Operation 5000 Campaign against the new grading system.
He told us the Vice Chancellor’s response was not exactly what they expected, although it sounded positive.
