University of Ghana students still can’t register with National Service Secretariat

Some graduates of the University of Ghana are still complaining they have not been registered by the National Service Secretariat to do their service.

The students who are due to start their national service this year say the university and the National Service Secretariat have failed to register them.

The aggrieved students say they are in a state of despair as all attempts to get the Secretariat to address their grievances have proved futile.

Citi News spoke to one of the aggrieved students who said “all efforts to get in touch with the University authorities are not working.”

According to him, “as soon as you call and say you a final year student who did not get a pin number for the national service registration, they will just cut your call, they will not even allow you to talk because they are fed up and they are no longer interested in listening to us.”

The student added: “When you call the national service secretariat they also tell you ‘go to your school for your pin number’. We are calling on the relevant authorities to come to our aid.”
