Three students from Ashesi have been selected to represent Ghana at Unilever’s Future Leaders’ League 2013 Competition in Singapore. The students, Richard Odame ’15, Portia Honu ’15 and Precious Antwi ’15, won the 2013 Unilever Ghana Ideatrophy competition, and are the only students from Africa among the very first batch of the Unilever Future Leaders’ League.

The three-day event, happening from the 25th to the 27th of March 2013, features teams nine other teams from Argentina, China, India, USA, Russia and Turkey, among others. Finalists were selected from country level competitions that saw 20,000 students participating from over 240 universities across the world.

Over the course of the three days, the ten teams will get to experience leadership challenges in Unilever and the consumer goods industry, and will be tasked to develop innovative solutions that must convince a panel of senior business leaders. The Unilever Future Leaders’ League 2013 is a first of its kind global event, and allows students to explore and discover their leadership styles irrespective of what career paths they are on.

We wish the Ashesi team all the best!
