A 23yr old level 100 Basic Education student of the South Campus of the University of Education Winneba (UEW) was found dead in a nearby uncompleted building on Friday (Valentine’s Day). He committed suicide by hanging himself.
Reports reaching myJCR.com indicate that Obeng Solomon committed suicide after realizing he obtained 3 ‘E’s in the last examination.
According to the University’s regulations, obtaining 3 ‘E’s in an examination meant an outright dismissal. May his soul rest in peace.
