The University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani has been selected to host the maiden Students’ Competition on Space Science Innovations in October –November, 2014.
The Competition, which is aimed at challenging students to develop space technology for solving critical challenges of society, is the brainchild of the Ghana Space Science Workgroup. The Ghana Space Science Workgroup, which is currently made up of the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, All Nations University, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, would also support the University of Energy and Natural Resources towards the establishment and operation of the Eco-Drones Centre in Sunyani.
The Space Science Workgroup is also working on developing curricula for programmes that would enroll students in practical space science courses.
