The Head of Department of History at the University of Cape Coast, Dr. K. Adu-Boahene, reportedly passed on at the University Hospital Monday afternoon after a short illness. Dr. Adu-Boahene is the author of “Nkoransa in the history of the Asante Hinterland 1700-1900”, a book that studies the crucial role of the state of Nkoransa in the politics of the area of modern Ghana situated to the north of the powerful kingdom of Asante during the precolonial period.
