The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) would like to extend warm greetings to all students, management and staff, especially Christians, on this festive occasion of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas offers us the opportunity to renew our hopes, dreams and relate better with our saviour Jesus Christ. We must all remember that, Jesus came, He died, and He has risen from dead. Jesus is our hope and that is what Christmas is all about Jesus, you and hope.
Clearly, this year has been a challenging one for many students; yet, the atmosphere of the season should not only provide a period of respite but also should develop expectations for a positive and brighter future.
Indeed, life is like a slender twig that simply withers and goes brittle. It is like an autumn leaf, only to fall and be interred as mulch for the cold ground. Fulfilment in life does not consist of how long but how well we live. Every day is a gift from God, so let us all live to fill our time full.
Fellow students, as I would always say “Life is full of challenges that must always be faced with a smile” and everything happened for our own good. I urge you all to continue to give me and my executives your unflinching and unalloyed support in the discharge of our duties. As we mark the birth of Christ, let us not forget all that our authorities have told us. Let us always remember that problem is a chance for us to do our best and failure is simply the chance to begin again this time more intelligently.
I advise you all to move in the company of people who can positively influence your life. If you want to fly higher like an eagle, do not feed with vultures.
Believe in the beauty of your dreams as you wait to holistically enter into 2015, remain focused. I believe in you, above all let us all believe in God.
On behalf of the SRC, I wish all students a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. See you in 2015.God Bless us all and long live UCC SRC.!!!
…..Signed……
Francis Kwabena Arthur
(Interim SRC President)
