The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Nelson Buah has stated that the UCC would not renege on its short to medium-term plans to pursue the construction of a teaching hospital to augment the training of competent medical doctors at the University of Cape Coast School of Medical Sciences.
Prof. Buah noted that UCC was therefore prepared to partner the private sector to make this vision a reality.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor made these statements when a delegation from Taquan Ghana limited, a wholly owned Ghanaian Company led by the Chief Executive Officer, Nana Samuel Sarfo paid a working visit to the University.
Giving a brief profile of the Company, Dr. Sarfo noted that the company was established with other professionals with in-depth experience in “deal execution” across the globe. He indicated that it was incorporated as a private limited liability company under the Companies Code 1963, Act 179 and was granted a Certificate to Commerce Business on May 2014.
Dr. Sarfo said the Company provides individual and organizations with the best platform of services in line with the various products they offer. He added that the services they render include training and trading in equity, Telecommunication, hospitality industry, mining and construction and rental of heavy duty equipment and other related services. He also pointed out that Taquan had for the few years of its existence differentiated itself as the best and reliable company in Ghana and beyond.
