The University of Cape Coast (UCC) emerged overall winners in the 2017 mini Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) games which ended at the Cape Coast Stadium last Thursday.
The UCC team came first in 28 out of the 45 different games. The University of Ghana (Legon) and University of Education Winneba (UEW) teams placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Below is a summary of the medal table at the end of the 2017 mini-GUSA games.
1st – UCC – 28 Gold, 19 Silver, and 5 Bronze
2nd – Legon – 10 Gold, 12 Silver, and 11 Bronze
3rd – UEW – 5 Gold, 11 Silver, and 9 Bronze
4th – KNUST – 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 5 Bronze
5th – UDS – 3 Bronze
6th – UPSA, UNER, and UMaT – No medal
The UCC team won the 2015 and 2016 editions of the main Ghana Universities Sports Association games held at Cape Coast and Winneba respectively.
