It has come to the notice of the University Management (KNUST) that several functions and activities organised and carried out in the University do not seek assistance from the Security Service. This undermines and renders them ineffective in the performance of their duties as security personnel, and it also puts the entire University community at risk in several ways including attracting criminals from outside campus, which increases the rate of theft cases and also endanger lives.
Any letter seeking permission to organise activity on campus must be copied to the Head of Security to enable him deploy security personnel for the function, otherwise granted approvals could be cancelled.
