The attention of the administration of the College of Engineering has been drawn to misrepresentation of facts of a case of dismemeanour on the part of the Financial Secretary of Ghana Engineering Students’ Association (GESA).
Information on some social media networks, particularly www.campusnews.org bears little or no resemblance of the actual happening of the case.
In the course of the week, the College Finance Officer detected an anomaly in the finances of GESA with Mr. Wisdom Antwi, the Financial Secretary suspected to be perpetrator.
At the moment, investigations conducted by KNUST Security Services and Ghana Police Service reveal that Mr. Antwi acted alone. Nowhere in his statement to the security units has he mentioned any executive member of GESA as an accomplice.
This is to state the facts as they have unfolded since the incident. I urge all to discount rumours that purport to implicate some persons contesting for positions in the impending SRC elctions.
