Authorities of the University for Development Studies in Ghana have introduced new examination laws to guide students. Please find the law in brief below:

1. A student who trails 4 or more papers at the end of level 100 will be dismissed.

2. A student who trails 1 to 3 papers will go to level 200 and write the trailed papers in addition to the level 200 papers.

3. From level 200 to 300 a student will be sacked if his/her GPA falls below 1.5 regardless of the students’ number of trails.

4. At level 400, a student with 1 to 3 trails will re-sit the papers in the 3rd Trimester (i.e. around July) of the same year. If a student still trails any paper, he/she will be given 2 more attemps to re-write the papers. If a student does not pass after the 2 attempts, the student’s Transcript will be issued and classified as “Attempted Degree”. Such a student will not be allowed to graduate.

The Local NUGS President for the Wa Campus of UDS, Richard Kofi Mensah, confirmed this new examination laws when a reporter of myJCR interviewed him.
