The integrity of KNUST SRC elections has passed through revolutionary wave of procedural litmus tests.
Another phase of this test was expected to be indited this very day, 9th of April, 2013 but the exposure of the credibility of the electoral commission to both external diabolic political influences and the selfish parochial interest of some unscrupulous politicos have derailed the purpose, preparation and the majority of students expectation from this whole election.
The actual date for this election was supposed to have been 5th April, 2013.
The whole excuse was buttressed with the flimsy fact that lecturers were and are still on strike, and that should the election be held, preparation towards it and students turn up to vote would be abysmal and could errupt the tenacity for rigging.
Not withstanding all that, the election was scheduled at today, the 9th of April, 2013.
To be very candid with all and sundry, the inferences and the way things are boiling up have bring this election day into a recess and have caused the need for the election to be postponed till further notice.
As I speak now, the various stakeholders are in a caucus meeting. Where lies the fate of Mother Ghana if these same people are going to assume offices in no time? Courtesy: Kofi Kyei Richard (Student Activist, KNUST)
