Ghana our beloved country may suffer from a trend which for me it is in the wrong direction.
It has been normal for students from various universities to meet on social platforms such as Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter among others to throw insults at one another with the aim of “hyping” their respective universities and colleges at the detriment of other sister schools dragging their face in the mud.
Last night, I observed comments from students on facebook group chat platform. In fact I was at sea and bewildered to see these students raising deplorable insults at one another in the name of proving that their respective schools are the best. I am from ucc, I am from knust, I am from Legon, I am from Uds among others does not call for insults from one another. If we are to carry on with this as students we would be graduating as half-baked graduates who will only promote National disintegration.
Students from the so called ‘excellent ‘ universities should know that there are equally best brains at the so called ‘bad’ schools. We need all these people together to build a “heavenly Ghana” for us all. we are suffering from the effects of UTAG Strike and this is the time we have to come together as a huge student front to push in our interests to the government and other stakeholders.
