To God be the glory. Suffice it is to say it has not been a smooth journey up here but thankfully the good Lord has seen us through.
I wish to officially thank all the phenomenal and astute women of KNUST for their support throughout the electoral process and for their firm belief in the “The Feminine Factor”: seeing it as a paradigm shift in the leadership of the commission.
I couldn’t have agreed more to Barack Obama when he opined that “Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time.”…when he said that “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” Just as we stated in our campaign, The Feminine Factor, has been informed by a practical experience of the worries and challenges facing the woman of KNUST.
The Feminine Factor is a broad set of realistic ideas gathered from the female populace of KNUST, aimed at providing long-term pragmatic solutions to the everyday challenges of the KNUST lady. It also aims at consolidating the progress of the Women’s Commission while seeking to establish a more formidable Commission that can address the future challenges of the female student.
The SRC Women’s Commission remains the official female-students’ representative body and advocacy platform for all the women in KNUST.
I will like to assure you that the Commission will deliver on its mandate by drawing on the new ideas we gathered from you during the campaign. I assure you of a commission built on all-inclusiveness and pragmatic actions. A commission that is responsive to your needs.
Thank you. God bless you and our Union.
