Congrats! Latifa Jasaw is the newly elected President of USAG

myJCR congratulates the newly elected President of the University Students’ Association of Ghana (USAG), Latifa Jasaw. She received an overwhelming endorsement  to lead the Association at the just ended USAG Congress held in Navrongo.

Ms. Latifa is a medical student of the University for Development Studies (UDS). She defeated three males contenders in a landslide victory to become the second female president of with 115 votes out of the 237 valid votes.

In a phone interview with myJCR News, Ms. Latifa confirmed her victory and said she will officially send her acceptance message to university students of Ghana via myJCR on Saturday (August 3, 2013).

The other three contenders for the presidency were Ebenener Agorhom (UMaT), Lukman Imoro (UCC), and Jeffery Kyei Baffour (Central University).
