Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) is to introduce PhD in Business Administration and PhD in Law, in its curriculum.
Other subjects listed are PhD in Leadership, Joint Executive Masters Business Administration-Master of Laws (LLM), International Executive Masters Business Administration and LLM.
Professor Franklyn Acheampong Manu, GIMPA Rector, made this known on Saturday at the 14th Congregation of the institute in Accra, said the new degree programmes were in furtherance of its goals of making major contributions to national human resource development.
He said for the 2013/14 academic year, GIMPA enrolled 1,762 students in undergraduate degree programmes in Business School, Faculty of Law, School of Technology, and School of Public Service and Governance.
Prof Manu said GIMPA’s satellite campuses in Tema, Takoradi and Kumasi are building the capacity of students in the regions with a population of 230 and anticipate enrolling an additional 300 students for 2014.
He said the institute biggest infrastructure development is the ongoing installation of an Enterprise Resource Planning system, to integrate and support effective systems for managing student affairs, finances, payroll and other operations.
