Teachers have suspended their strike until further notice to enable negotiations to continue.
At a news conference addressed by the President of Ghana National Association of Teachers Samuel Doe Alobuia, on behalf of all other teachers unions, he said they are suspending the action taking into consideration the numerous appeals made to them and the actions being taken to address their concerns.
Members of the Ghana National Association of Teachers, NAGRAT and the coalition of concerned Teachers have been on strike since last week Monday, citing reasons such as non-negotiation of their collective agreement and the non-payment of vehicle maintenance allowance.
