The University Students’ Association of Ghana wishes to extend its sympathy to families and friends of the departed souls of the University for Development studies who were involved in the fatal motor accident that happened on the Kumasi-Wa road on the 16th Jan, 2014 .
This happened when a Metro Mass Transit bus carrying some students from Kumasi heading to Wa crushed near Nkenkansu in the Ashanti Region.
The accident did not only take lives but also left several other students seriously injured. Currently, more than 20 injured students are receiving treatment at various hospitals in the Ashanti Region.
On this sad note, USAG Pledges its support to all the victims in every way possible.
We Promise to map out possible ways to ensure and enhance the safety of our students on our roads.
We will also ensure that those injured and still receiving treatment will not miss out on the academic calendar. We will liase with the school’s authorities to ensure that the accident doesn’t affect their trimester’s work. We sincerely wish all victims speedy recovery.
