The grand finale of the 2014/2015 National Science and Maths Quiz is being held today, July 3, 2015 at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
After 66 contests, the schools that made it to the grand finale are Adisadel College, University Practice SHS, and Premepeh College (Kumasi). All 3 schools are on the verge of making history!
Below are some facts of the competition so far:
– This year two Cape Coast based Schools and one Kumasi based school are competing for the trophy.
– This is Adisadel College’s first time at the finals.
– Adisadel College beat PRESEC – Legon and Archbishop Porter Girls’ to make it to the grand finale.
– A win today will make it 3 titles for Prempeh College.
– The last time Prempeh College was at the finals was in 1997 when they lost the trophy to their arch rivals Opoku Ware School.
– University Practice first competed in 2013 where they reached the quarterfinals.
– University Practice competed for the second time in 2014 where they made it to the semifinals.
– University Practice are making their third appearance and they are in the finals.
